Colleagues from the QUB General Practice Academic and Research Training Scheme (GPARTS) have recently had their research, specifically in the area of farmers’ heart health, highlighted on BBC Radio Ulster. The Farm Cardio Study, carried out in partnership with the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU), and co-designed by farmers, focuses on identifying factors that influence a farmer’s behaviour when they are advised to seek healthcare.

The research team, led by Dr. Rebecca Orr, is now welcoming input into their research, from farmers across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, via completion of a questionnaire.  Hard copies of the questionnaire can also be requested from the UFU.
